Hollywood Connection Denver

It is now time to register for Hollywood Connection Denver.  I am still unsure of what routines will be going.  We cannot decide what to take until we know who is planning to attend.  The convention is March 21-22 at the Colorado Convention Center.  The host hotel is the Courtyard Denver Downtown.  The rooms are $129 per night if you book your room before March 2nd.  Convention tuition is $165 for 10yrs and under, $185 for 11-13yrs, $195 for 14+.  Competition fees are: $65 for a solo, $26-$30 per team routine depending on the size of the group.  These fees need to be mailed no later than February 13th.  So I am asking everyone to let me know by Monday February 2nd whether or not you are planning to attend.  Please let me know either way.  When I know the numbers of who is going in what routines I will talk with Misty, and we will let you know no later than Friday February 6th what routines we are taking.  If we don't have enough kids in the routines you are in you will then have the option to go and just take classes or not to go at all.  The fees will need to be paid to the studio no later than February 9th.  Thanks for your help! The costume for Tre's routine is the pink puffy vest from Rue 21, black UFOs, and a black long sleeve shirt.  If you haven't already, please get your vest from Rue 21 ASAP.  I will get the black long sleeve shirts.  Alot of you already have black UFOs.  If you need UFOs please let me know ASAP so I can order them for you.  Thanks! Presidents day

We are going to have a practice on President's day (February 16th) from 10AM-3PM.  This is a practice for all Company kids, Heat, and anyone in Circus and/or Stairway.  Please wear all black.  There will not be any dance classes Monday night.

One (Small Company Lyrical) costume

I had to make some very minor changes to the schedule.  The only changes are on Wednesday.  It only affects the rotate routines schedule, and the Senior Company lyrical class.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM EDF

This is just a reminder note that all past due balances and costume fees MUST be paid by Monday January 19th.  We have several costumes waiting to be sewn, but we have to keep putting off the date because we don't have the final payment for the costumes.  The costume company will not even begin to cut them out until they have full payment.  Misty, the other teachers, and the dancers have all done their part, and worked hard to have fun, entertaining, and technical dances to compete.  Now I need to do my part and make sure that we have the costumes here on time.  It is impossible for me to do this without collecting everyone's money.  This is my least favorite part of my job!  I hate to ask for money, but we all know that it is necessary.  Misty and I have talked about this for hours and hours over the last several days.  We both know that financial times are tough!  We have felt it in our own homes, and we have seen a few dancers have to drop out of competitions and a few have to quit completely because of money issues.  This is really hard for us to see.  Misty develops such strong relationships with the kids and doesn't want to see any of them in this situation.  While I too love the kids, my relationships are mostly with the moms, dads, grandma's etc.  I think I can call everyone of you that walk in the studio a friend, and I hate to see friends struggling.  Unfortunately our studio has also felt these financial pains.  We no longer have the cash flow to allow us to carry large balances on accounts.  That is why at this time we have to require payment.  I have tried, and will continue to try to work with people as best as I can.  However it is also my job to make this a fair situation for everyone.  There are several parents who were diligent about making their 15% monthly payments towards their costumes and competition fees.  That is why it is no longer fair for me to hold up costumes for the people who have not made their payments.   Thank you, thank you, thank you to the moms, dads, grandmas, etc that have been so easy to work with.  It makes my life so much easier!!  Thanks to everyone for understanding and for supporting the studio!   Following is a list of girls who are current and have paid for their costumes, or have already contacted me and are making their payment on Monday.  Please remember you may still have a balance on your account for competition fees.  Final balances are due February 8th.   Abbie Layton Abby Kier Rylee Kier Abby Smoot Cienna Smoot Dallas Smoot Ashlyn Sneddon Katelyn Sneddon Bailey Barto Bailey Sill BayLee Hansen Cassi Turner Cassidy Stewart McKinley Stewart Courteney Mitchell Courtney Ainge Brandon Ainge Hadlie Eppel Hailey May Lauren May Jami Combe Jessi Watson Karlee Lindsay Kate Nelson Kayshia Pulsipher Kennadee Poulsen Kenady Kimber Kamryn Kimber McKahll Strong Megan Cashmore Miranda Ramsey Mykell Swartz Natalie Fillerup Oaklie Payne Rylile Tucker Payton Tucker Sabrina Pickett Sophia Herrick Sydney Satterthwaite Tristan Gray Yesenia Gil Zandra Gajewski-Lee   Thanks again to all of these parents!!   If you are not on this list and you have any questions, please call, or email me so we can get payment worked out.  Please do not send your dancer to dance without a payment or without making arrangements with me.  Thanks!

costume and competition fees

We are now just over a month out from our first competition.  Misty, Cacede, Jen and all the dancers on the team have worked hard, and the routines look great!  We are excited for compeition season!  As you know Misty is doing the final spacing on all routines on Monday.  It is now necessary for us to ask that all dancers have paid for all of their costumes in full.  We have several costume orders that are ready to ship, they are just waiting on the final payment.  We need to make this payment in order to insure all costumes arrive here on time to compete.  To make it fair to all dancers and teachers, any dancer who has not paid will be removed from the routines on Monday.  The closer it gets to competition the harder it is to redo spots.  It is time consuming and it is not fair to the other students or teachers.  We are not requiring all comp fees to be paid at this time, but please remember your total balance is due no later than February 8th.  If you have questions or concerns please let me know ASAP.  Thanks! We will have a practice for all Xtreme and Company kids on Monday January 19th 10AM-3PM.  Please be on time and wear all black to the practice.  Bring snacks, we will have a few short breaks throughout the day.  Kids in the circus routine please bring your black and white costume.  All routines will be viedoed and set, so it is important that everyone attends.  There will NOT be any dance Monday night

"Wardrobe" & "Michael Jackson" will be performing at the WSU halftime Thursday January 15th.  We will be having a dress rehearsal on Wednesday 5:30-6:30PM.  Girls in wardrobe need to wear a black leotard, black bootie shorts, a sheer shirt (any color), light tan footless tights, and bear paws.  Girls in Michael Jackson stay tuned and I will find out what you are wearing because at this time I am unsure.  We need to be at WSU Thursday at 7PM hair down and curly, bangs out of face.  Parents will have to buy a ticket to the game if they want to watch the performance.  Any questions let me know.  Thanks!!!
