IMPORTANT NOTES FROM EDF

*SUMMER ATTENDANCE* We have had many calls, texts, and emails from parents, students and teachers regarding summer attendance at dance.  We realize summer is a busy time full of family fun, but we do have to require some attendance in the summer to make it fair to all dancers, parents, and teachers.  Summer is an important time where the dancers can focus on technique and skills and not so much on competition routines.  It is not fair for the dancers who attend and improve their technique and master some skills to then have to be on a team with dancers who took the summer off and did not master those same skills.  We will be taking roll everyday,  and it is required that company kids attend AT LEAST Monday or Wednesday and one ballet class a week in the summer.  Xtreme dancers must attend AT LEAST one day a week of their classes in the summer.  Of course we would like to see all the dancers in all their classes over the summer, but we know that many of you have fun family things planned and we understand.  If you have a vacation planned that will require your dancer to miss a week or more of dance please call the studio and let us know ASAP.  As parents Misty and I both do our best to make sure that our own girls attend as much class as possible during the summer.  If you don't feel like you are able to commit during the summer, please let Misty or I know and we can move your dancer to a different team.  Thanks for understanding and respecting our attendance policy.  If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. *BALLET INTENSIVES/POINTE* Cati is coming to EDF to teach a ballet intensive.  (dates and fee info is coming)  If you want to be considered for pointe, you MUST attend the ballet intensive.  Keep in mind that just because you attend it does not mean you will be put on pointe, but you must attend to be evaluated by Cati.  She will decide who is ready and will let us know.  Her decisions are final. *TEAM OUTFITS* I will be placing the order for team out fits on June 25th.  Team outfits are not required, but are highly recommended.  It is always nice to have an outfit that the entire team has to use for basketball games or other performance opportunities.  It is also handy in costumes in case we need to add a shirt or shorts (as we saw in last years costumes).  Team costumes will be $57.50 for black sequin top and black hot shorts.  They come in sizes 4-6, 6x-7, 8-10, 12-14, XS, S, M, L, XL.  They have to be paid for by June 25th or they will not be ordered.  If you have any questions let me know.  Thanks!
