Important news!

*The ballet intensive with Cati Snarr starts tomorrow morning at 9AM. Please be on time!! Please be sure you are dressed appropriately. (Hair in bun, leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes.) Make sure to bring snacks and water. If you did not register and would still like to attend please bring your $75 plus a $15 late fee with you to class. This class is STRONGLY reccommended for all Company dancers. PLEASE REMEMBER IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND A BALLET INTENSIVE YOU WILL NOT COMPETE IN A LYRICAL ROUTINE THIS YEAR. This will be a fun and challenging intensive that is well worth your money. Cati is an amazing teacher!!



*Samm and Kenady's ballet intensive is scheduled for August 9-13 from 9AM-11AM. The fee for this intensive is $40. If you have not registered for this intensive and you would still like to please bring your fee with you to dance this week.



*It's almost time to go back to school...BOO!! We will be taking off Monday the 23-Wednesday the 25th from dance. This should help everyone (including Misty) to get their back to school stuff done.



*I am starting to work on Misty's solo schedule. I need to know who is planning on doing a solo/duo/trio so that I don't miss anyone. Solos are $300 for your choreography and first 3 lessons. It is $35 an hour for each additional lesson. Please let me know ASAP if you are planning on doing one this year.

There will be at least 3 jazz routines, 3 lyrical routines, and 3 hip hop routines done for the company.  Misty will select which routines she wants you in.  You many dance with different people in your jazz than you do in your lyrical or hip hop.  Also, if you are listed as an alternate for company you need to attend your team classes first and then whatever company classes you can.  Misty MAY select you to  be in one or more of the company routines, but she may not.  If you are listed as an alternate on company, and you are not listed on another team, please attend all company classes.  You will be in AT LEAST one company routine.

*Please watch for an email with more informaiton for next year such as tuition rates and schedules for the new teams.
 
*Please remember we have next camp Wednesday June 23 thru Saturday June 26.  Please remember to send lots of snacks and water.  Right now we are planning on having camp from 9-5 Wed-Fri (9-1 for 7yrs and under) and 10-3 on Saturday.  We may adjust Friday's schedule to end a little earlier to make it easier to get to Classic by 6PM.  The swim party is at Classic Waterslides in Riverdale 6-8PM.  It is free to those attending camp but $5 for everyone else.  Even if you are not swimming.  We are having a showcase on Saturday at 3:30PM.  If you have not yet paid for camp, and you wish to attend you still can.  Just add a $15 late fee to your camp payment and please have it to the studio by Monday so we will have a correct lunch count.  PLEASE DON'T SEND YOUR DANCER TO CAMP IF YOU HAVE A BALANCE, OR IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID FOR CAMP.  They will not be allowed to participate in any part of camp and will be told to call their parents to pick them up.  Please please do not put your dancer or our office staff through the trama!!  I emailed out statements today, so you should know if you have a balance.  But if you just want to make sure you can text me or email me and I will let you know.
 
*Also, I received very few deposits for the ballet intensive in July.  Please be aware if you do not attend a ballet intensive over the summer you will not be allowed to compete in a lyrical routine next year...even if you made compnay.  If you have not yet paid your deposit and you plan to attend please bring it in on Monday.  The balance for the intesive is due on June 25th.

EDF TEAM AUDITIONS

*We are making a change in how we are doing team auditions this year.  Instead of doing them on Thursday, we are going to do them Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during classes.  This will give all the teachers a better opportunity to work with each dancer before making a decision as to which team they should be placed on.  The following is the schedule for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday:
4:30-5:30PM 5 & under
5:30-7PM 6-7yrs
6:30-8:30PM 8-10yrs
6-8:30PM 11-13yrs
5:30-8:30 14yrs and up
Parents please plan on coming in with your dancer(s) on Monday to fill out a new registration form.  If you have not filled out a form and paid your audition fee we will assume you are just taking classes and do not want to be placed on a team.  Audition results will be emailed and posted on the website by Wednesday June 23rd.
*Dance camp fees were due on Monday June 21st.  There is now a $15 late fee being charged for camp.  Dance camp is June 23rd-June 26th.  The tentative schedule is:
Wed-Fri 9AM-5PM for dancers 7 & up
Wed-Fri 9AM-1PM for dancers 7 & under
Sat. 10AM-3PM for all dancers with a showcase at 3:30PM
On Friday night 6-8PM we will be having a party at Classic Water slides in Riverdale.  All dancers who have paid for camp will get in free, parents and siblings are $5 each.  YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND DANCE CAMP UNLESS YOU HAVE A ZERO BALANCE AND YOU HAVE PAID IN FULL FOR CAMP. 
*Cati's ballet intensive is scheduled for July 26th thru July 31st from 9AM-1PM.  If you would like to be considered for a lyrical next year, YOU MUST TAKE A BALLET INTENSIVE.  This does not guarantee you a spot in a lyrical, however if you do not take a ballet intensive you will not be allowed to compete in a lyrical.  The fee for the intensive is $150.  If you are an unlimited student you will receive a $10 discount.  The fee is subject to change.  (If we have a huge response with lots of dancers the fee will be reduced, if we don't get very many dancers the fee will be increased).  The times may change a little if we need to split the classes a bunch because of difference in ability.  (We may have some of the younger girls come for a shorter time for a lesser fee, depending on how many there are.)  A deposit of $50 is due by Monday June 21st.  After that date I will be able to give you a firm price and times because I will know who is planning to attend.

LAGOON COMPETITION

Some parents have expressed some interest in still competing team routines at Lagoon.  I am taking my kids to do routines.  If you would still like to compete please let me know what routines and I will get it on the schedule.  Jeanie said she would let us compete at a discounted rate.  If you are interested and would like the details please email or text me ASAP!

NO EXTRA THURSDAY PRACTICES!

*Due to popular demand and circumstances beyond our control, we are not going to compete team routines at the Lagoon competition.  We just have to many dancers that are not going to be able to make it for various reasons (ACT tests, vacations, etc.).  So, there won't be any extra Thursday practices, and if you have already paid your Lagoon fees, they can be applied to camp or tuition.  I sent out new statements today with the Lagoon fees removed.  There are still a lot of solos, duos and trios competing at Lagoon.  If you are interested in doing your solo, duo, or trio I need to know by Thursday morning.  Also, there are some dancers who are competing some of the team routines as solos, duos or trios.  If you don't have a solo, duo, or trio and would like to compete one of the team routines as one please let me know by Thursday morning.
 
*No dance Monday May 31-Wednesday June 2nd!  Enjoy being out of school and taking some time off!!!
 
*Since we were planning on taking team pictures at Lagoon, we are now looking for a new day.  I will get the info out ASAP!  We will do team pictures, single pictures, and pictures at camp with the teachers.  They will all be included in one CD and then you can make the prints that you want.  We will offer hair and make up for the single pictures.
 
*Auditions are Thursday June 17th.  If you have not paid your audition fee yet please do!
 
*Mario will be here Monday June 21 thru Saturday June 26th.  He will come to regular classes on Monday and Tuesday and then camp is Wednesday thru Saturday.  If you have not paid your camp deposit yet please do!  The  balance for camp is due Monday June 7th.  IF YOU WANT TO BE IN A HIP HOP ROUTINE NEXT YEAR YOU MUST ATTEND CAMP...NO EXCEPTIONS!!  You may not attend camp unless it is paid for in full, and you have a zero balance on your account.

EXTRA PRACTICES FOR LAGOON COMPETITION

*We are having an extra practice on Thursday May 27th 4:30-6:30PM.  We will be doing all the competition routines for Lagoon including boyz hip hop and any solos/duos/trios that are competing.
 
*We will be taking off the week of Memorial Day.  There will be no dance on May 31, June 1, or June 2. 
 
*We are having another extra practice for Lagoon on Thursday May 10th 4:30-6:30PM.  Again we will be doing all the competing routines for Lagoon.
 
*Team auditions are Thursday June 17th.  The $25 audition fee is now past due, if you have not paid this fee please do so!
 
*Mario will be here June 21-26th.  Please plan on attending regular dance on Monday and Tuesday and then camp will be Wednesday thru Saturday.  The camp deposit of $50 is due now.
 
*PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU HAVE A BALANCE ON YOUR ACCOUNT ANY PAYMENT WILL FIRST BE APPLIED TO YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE AND THEN TO AUDITION FEES OR CAMP.

Spring/Summer schedule and events

*Following is a new Spring/Summer schedule.  Classes are listed by age.  Please come to the appropriate classes.  THESE ARE NOT YOUR NEW TEAMS FOR NEXT YEAR, this is just how we are preparing for auditions.  This way Misty and the other teachers can see dancers with dancers their own age.  This will help to make teams both by age and ability.  You do not have to come to all the classes if you do not want to.  But please let me know ASAP if you are not attending all classes so that I can adjust tuition.  Also if you wish to attend additional classes please let me know and I can tell you what classes would be appropriate.  At $175 er month you are unlimited and can dance as many hours as you want.

Here are the monthly tuition rates if you are taking all the classes in your age group.  Please note adding or subtracting classes will affect you tuition.  The first weekly dance/tumbling is $35 per month.  It's $20 more per month for each additional weekly hour up to unlimited ($175).

Please also note Sean's tumbling classes and Misty's Wed. 6:30 tumbling class will continue.  They are currently full.  If you wish to be put on a waiting list for any of these classes please let me know.
WE WOULD LIKE TO START THIS SCHEDULE MONDAY.  IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP.  SCHEDULES ARE ALWAYS A WORK IN PROGRESS, AND I AM ALWAYS OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS.  PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I TRY TO DO SCHEDULES THAT WILL WORK FOR EVERYONE (DANCERS, TEACHERS, AND PARENTS) AND SOMETIMES THERE ARE THINGS THAT CANNOT CHANGE.
 
*We are performing at the Silverlines review on May 10 at Freemont High School.  We will be taking the following routines:  Redeemed, Run the Show, and Mama.  Please come and support our girls who made the Silverline team for next year.  The Silverline girls will be selling tickets to the review at the studio this coming week.  The tickets are $5 per person, and even the dancers need a ticket.  This is a fundraiser for the Silverline team.
 
*The Lagoon competition is on June 12th.  We will be competing all of our routines there.  If you want to compete your solo/duo/trio there please let me know ASAP.  Also, Misty has been working on a new routine for the girls to compete.  It is not mandatory, if you do not want your dancer in the additional routine please let me know.  We will not be buying costumes for it, we will use stuff we already have.  The only additional cost will be the competition fee.
 
*ALL DANCERS NEED TO BE AT A ZERO BALANCE BEFORE AUDITIONS.  It will be much to difficult to start paying for next year if you still have a balance from last year.
 
*Audition for next season's team will be held on Thursday June 17th.  It is $25 to audition, will also covers your registration fee.  Please have your audition fee paid by May 3rd.  If you would like to EFT your fee, or put it on a credit card please let me know and I will get it done for you.  Thanks!
 
*Dance camp will be June 23rd-June 26th.  We will be having Mario come out again to do some of our hip hop routines.  IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND CAMP YOU CANNOT BE IN HIS ROUTINES.  We are going to strictly enforce this rule this year.  The fee for camp is how we pay him to come out and do choreography.
 
*Cati Snarr is going to do a ballet intensive for our studio again this year.  YAY!!!  Her intensive will be July 26-31.  If you are interested in attending the intensive please let me know so I can start to form the classes by age and ability.
 
*Samm and Kenady are also going to offer a ballet intensive for girls 8 years and under.  This would be a less expesive way to get an intensive, or you could do it in addition to Cati's.  If you are interested please let me know.
 
We have had a great competition season!  Thanks to all the parents and dancers for making this a great year!!  We appreciate all of you!  We have some exciting stuff planned for next year already, and are so excited for next years teams.  We have a studio full of very talented dancers!!  HUT HUT!!
